I moved to NYC in 2010 and immediately found refuge in plants amid the concrete (currently the plant mama to 60+ plants). Eventually I discovered the magic of composting and got certified as a Master Composter through the LES Ecology Center. I started working as a gardener and then studied urban landscape design at Brooklyn Botanic Garden.

In the last few years, I’ve worked in the interior design space developing my style and assisting designers on sourcing, procurement, and installs.

I found my way to the plant world initially in search of work. At some point I found myself building koi ponds and working at The Hort in Berkeley, CA. I then studied Horticulture at Merritt University. Later, I moved to NYC and studied landscape design at BBG.

For over a decade, I’ve worked with numerous landscape companies, learning all the interesting ways gardening gets done in the city.
